ABC 4th Year Fellowship Award

Description The ABC aims to promote the development of academic medicine in clinical electrophysiology (EP) and interventional cardiology. Through its Fellowship Awards Program, the ABC enables underrepresented minorities to gain specialized training in Clinical EP and Interventional Cardiology.
Eligibility Fellowship applicants must be enrolled in an accredited cardiology training program and active in the ABC Cardiologists-In-Training (CIT) Program.
The Award The usual stipend to be awarded by the ABC for full-year fellowship is US $40,000 per year, and may vary based on funding. This stipend supports salary, fringe benefits and overhead costs.

1) Ahead of time, gather the following information and have it ready to upload when applying online:

B) Recent photo
C) Short essay of no more than 3 pages, single spaced, Times Roman, 11 point type using Microsoft Word that includes the following information:

  • Clearly indicate if you are applying for Interventional or Electrophysiology Training.
  • Discuss your research interests and experiences.
  • List any publications you have had.
  • Describe your career goals (include background and career goals in sufficient detail to allow the Committee to understand your interests in cardiology and long-term plans).
  • Describe your relationship, membership status, and interests in the ABC.
NOTE: Heading at the top of each essay page
should be:
