An abstract summarizing any problem that relates to cardiovascular disease whether it be in: Clinical Investigations-Cardiology; Cardiovascular Surgery; Molecular and Cellular Cardiology; or Physiology, Pharmacology and Pathology.

| Eligibility |
Any physician/scientist presently in a residency or cardiology fellowship training program and active in the ABC Cardiologists-In-Training (CIT) Program.

| The Award |
The first place winner receives $1,000 and the opportunity to present his/her research at the ABC Annual Scientific Sessions. The winner and three honorable mentions also receive travel, hotel and meals up to $1,200 to attend the ABC Abstract Competition and the ABC/ACC Annual Scientific Sessions.
