Director, Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine, the Department of Radiology and the Penn Cardiovascular Institute at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine seeks candidates at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the non-tenure clinician-educator track to serve as Director of Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an MD or MD/PhD degree and be BC in Internal Medicine, BC in Cardiovascular Diseases or BC in Radiology and/or BC in Nuclear Medicine with expertise in cardiac imaging. Evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track; candidates must have an established track record of academic productivity as assessed by record of publication, grant support and/or national leadership. Experience and a track record of academic productivity in more than one imaging modality are strongly preferred.
The Director of Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging of the Penn Heart and Vascular Center will be charged with building clinical, research and educational programs spanning all cardiac imaging modalities including echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT. The Director will oversee an integrated cardiac imaging program in the Departments of Medicine/Cardiology and Radiology. The Director will work with departmental and health system administration to oversee the clinical operations of noninvasive cardiac imaging with the goal of improving patient services, efficiency and quality of operations. It is anticipated that the Director will be nationally recognized for translational and/or clinical research in cardiac noninvasive imaging and he or she will build Penn's nationally renowned research program in cardiac imaging. The Director will also be responsible for mentoring junior faculty in the Departments of Medicine/Cardiology and Radiology and for supervision of educational programs in cardiac imaging across Penn Medicine. The successful candidate will be based at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Penn Heart and Vascular Center. Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship position available for academic year 2013-2014 Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship position available for academic year 2013-2014 at SUNY Downstate Medical Center/University Hospital Brooklyn. This is a one year fellowship. The SUNY Downstate CCEP Fellowship covers a busy inner city hospital and offers the trainee the full electrophysiology experience including complex ablations and advanced device implantation.
