Program Overview
The Association of Black Cardiologists’ 23rd Annual Scientific Sessions is designed for the healthcare professional to provide the latest information on a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases including those that are commonly encountered in clinical practice. Special emphasis will be placed on recent advances and practical solutions for eliminating health disparities. An expert faculty of nationally and internationally recognized leaders in their fields will address a wide range of topics, including management of patients with multiple CV risk factors; advances in the care of persons with diabetes; new aspects of heart failure therapy; future directions in cardiac imaging; heart disease in women; and the relevance of genetics and genomics in the prevention and treatment of CVD. This educational program will include case studies, and panel-audience interaction to help attendees make decisions that will improve outcomes in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases for their patients.

This activity is intended for cardiologists and other healthcare professionals caring for patients with or at risk for cardiovascular disease.
